Basically it’s the lowered version of the taco, only people who bash them are pavement princesses. Mine has probably seen more off-road than most 4x4s ;). Now I will admit, with the stock donut tires they’re ugly lol

Op this is a really cool find, for 500 bucks I’d even keep it for the story. Something about giving vehicles a second chance is really cool to me. Plus it’ll run for 500k more miles :D

It's all good. I just wasn't sure if maybe I had missed something in my research.

The F150 had a fuel filter clogged at had sat for 2 years. They also had a Mercedes-Benz SL hardtop convertible that had an ABS light or something like that so it was parked.

Unfortunately since I'm trying to sell it I'm not going big wheels and tires, just trying to make it clean and maybe someone can get a good work truck out of it. I intend to sell this and sell or trade in my Acura to get a nice lower milage 4x4 Tacoma.

Did a test with my polisher, been raining a lot in SC so I was dodging rain showers. I'm encouraged by the results.

    Before Adams compound:

    After:
    MVIMG_20190103_104324.jpg
Polished on the right, not on the left side

    MVIMG_20190103_103018.jpg

I'm a auto detailer in my spare time, so this wasn't really scary. There's a lot of rock chips I found after washing the truck, luckily the majority of the paint looks like it has clear coat still. It's got a lot of scratches from a dog jumping up on the sides, but I'm sure I can make those a lot less noticeable if not remove the majority of them. I'll be working on the truck more and I'll post final results of the polishing process when I'm done.

My setup was the Griot's garage 6inch DA buffer, Griot's orange cutting pad, and Adams blue high cut compound.

Looking good, just curious why would you get rid of both rigs for the same truck but 4x4? If I were to go that route I’d go balls to the wall and make it a v6 dclb

Can’t wait to see the finished product. Have fun with it. Do your research on the value of it before you sell.

    ^^^^This.

Great piece of advise. Check your local market, KBB and NADA tend to be optimistic but the Tacoma does retain value unlike any other truck. Check out the Tacoma's for sale section on this forum too.

Beware of the 50 post limit in order to list things for sale here - violations will get you banned. Here are the Buy/Sell/Trade rules for the forum.

Awesome project by the way @CerberusRising ! Thanks for coming here and posting it up:thumbsup:

    Looks great!

Can you get me the white Integra for $500? I'm assuming it's not a real Hype R, but I don't really car. For $500 assuming it's running, it would be worth the drive! (though the wife and baby would probably disagree).
