So I got my truck back from the body shop a week ago after a girl pulled out in front of me and destroyed my truck. WELL, everything looks good mostly.... But I just honked my horn and.. I died laughing. Any ideas how to fix it?

Sounds like water or debris got inside the horn . The only suggestion is to replace it , if the horn was fine prior to the body shop visit I would go back to that shop and ask about it

take the horn out and check it, it might be full of water if wet sanding for painting was done, or something as simple as a bee nest blocking the opening

Well, I swapped the horns and one of them doesn't work at all anymore. The other one is very raspy

the last two times my truck was inspected all they asked me to do was to turn on the lights, turning signals and wipers, didn't check the horn, or say anything about the headlights that were tinted nor the too dark (Arizona )tint on the truck.

That shop don't give a fuck then. I hope no one gets hurt cuz they aren't taking the inspection seriously.

That's just weird to me. We don't have inspections in Florida.

My old Chevy had the horn mounted in a way that it would fill with water and sound kinda like yours.
I gave it a 180 mounting position and all was fine. The body shop likely had the horn off when they fixed the front end and mounted it wrong maybe?

replace it with an oem one, the aftermarkets just aren't as rock solid or as well made as original in my book.

check the for sale section here, you will find a good oem stock horn to replace it with.

I know my 04 sounds like a regular truck horn and I think all the 01-04's had those but anything before 01 I think will be the meep meep horn and you definitely don't want those lol
