I totally agree. I've had two roll-n-lock covers and really like them.

I just ordered the Pace Edwards Ultragroove, it should arrive middle of next week. I also looked at Truck Covers USA but the Pace Edwards was almost $500 less expensive so figured I'd give that a shot. If you haven't bought one before next weekend I'll shoot you my initial thoughts after I get it installed.

Well that's disappointing. Ordered from Amazon 3rd party vendor and box arrived today, but without the Ultragroove side rails. So much for installing this weekend. :-(

Are there any retractable covers that are compatible with the KB Voodoo Tonneau Cover Brackets?

And that's why I don't buy from Amazon.

I have a question. After installment of this cover would I still be able to use tie downs and bed rails?

With the TCU American roll cover on a Tacoma DC short bed you lose the use of your bed rails. You also need to remove the bedrail on the cab side....

After a lot of drama I finally got my Pace Edwards Ultragroove from Amazon and got it installed. I also added Yakima racks and RockyMounts Brass Knuckles. Pictures and comments below.

So far so good. The Pace Edwards cover isn't completely waterproof yet, but I need to play a little more with the drain tubes and waterproofing along the bed rails. Overall just small pooling during heavy rains. The Yakima racks I opted for the less expensive round bars.

Next up was a pair of Rockymounts Brass Knuckles bike racks. I really like these racks as they don't touch the frame and really secure the bikes in place with the front arm. They also have locks that secure the rack to the Yakima bars and lock the bike to the rack. You'll notice that I installed the bikes backwards. That's because in order to get the lock arm to lay flat it extends the length of the rack. So it was either that the rack always extended beyond the tail gate or it only extends beyond the tailgate when the lock arm is down (but lays flat). Not a big deal and these are really solid racks.

Let me know if you have any questions on the setup. Cheers.

    And the final product:

Does the RM locking bar stow in the other direction...towards the glass?

The arm on my Thule trays has 180* of rotation/pivot.

It does - I updated the post to say that. Choice is really if you wan the lock bar to lay totally flat then install backward. If you don't mind it resting on top of main channel then you could install if facing forward.

Love your setup! I was looking at the Front-loaders but was worried they would hangover the truck to much. Is your bed a 5ft? Setup is great! How are you liking it?

Love it - had it for 2.5yrs now, cover still looks like new, and the frontloaders don't hang over the edge of the bed or anything. Works perfect (and yes, 5ft short bed).

Oh that is nice. Was wondering if you could get a rack on it high enough to put canoes on top.

The Yakima Overhaul can be adjusted between 19”-30” above the bed. I have it set around 21” to clear the antenna. I use this to transport paddle boards.

Awesome thanks for the info, adding to my list for future reference! Good to know they can go a bit higher than you have there as well since a canoe would slope down some and I think would need to be a bit higher so that it doesn't bang on the roof.
