    Not sure how well this translates to a taco, but the “canister” on mine is 12”x12” and obviously runs the majority of the width of the bed. Technically, once assembled it’s 4 bolts to undo the clamps and remove (the drain tubes twist and remove easily); but I personally wouldn’t want to do it considering you’ll have to get it even again and the weather stripping will have deformed to the shape of your bed rails for a good seal already.

    Here’s a pic of it on my Tacoma. Space wise while it’s retracted isn’t too bad but taking it out all the time is something I wouldn’t want to do. On the 2nd gen Tacoma the rails are screwed to the canister then place into the bed. Taking it out would be a 2 person job.

    My dilemma, I want the Pro XR so I can attach a rack for a RTT, but I also need enough room in the bed to put my kayak. So is there enough room between the canister and the bed floor to fit a kayak? :fingerscrossed:
