RetraxPro MX on 2021 TRD Off Road

Hey all,

Just got my Retrax the other day from Fedex. Writing this up as an initial thoughts and such while everything is fresh.

Installation: Took about an hour or so with help from a friend. Took our time to make sure we were doing everything per the manual, even after watching a few install videos its good to read the manual before you start putting things together. The tools required were a ratchet set, phillips head screwdriver, torx bit set.

One thing is that the cannister (where the cover rolls into) will delete the two stainless steel bed cleats in the front. I wasn't crazy about that but life is give and take.

Initial thoughts: Slides nicely, seems to be sealed all around and the clamping system uses the internal bed rails to mount which I really like. Will probably do a follow up later after some snow. One thing I am not at all crazy for is the 1/2" drain tubes for the cannister. It requires drilling into the bed which I won't do. Instead I bought $10 worth of flexible pipe connectors to step down the tube to 1/4" OD to fit in the existing drain holes.

Overall it wasn't terribly difficult just a bit time consuming. Picture below is right after we finished.
