Exactly what he said. You might not have sealed them correctly, I would recommend buying extra butyl if you didn't already. Use that in the seam where the lens sits after you open them back up, stick them in the oven to seal it up (270 degrees for about 7 minutes) and try and use a few clamps to squeeze it together after you pull it and let it cool down. After that use some clear sealant/caulking around the seam where you sealed it. Order https://www.amazon.com/Dry-Packs-Cotton-Silica-Packet-Pack/dp/B0038N30OY and throw 2-3 behind the headlight and it'll fix it.

My drivers side light had condensation after I did my retrofit and all it took was 2 silica packets and it hasn't been back in the past 4 months

Does the kit include the projectors or did you paint the original ones you had? Those look fantastic.

You do know that you can get those off Walmart.com now for like 160 or 170 right? Depending the website you use

    Here's my questions:
    • How well did you remove the stock butyl from around the trim of the light?
    • Did you reuse the stock butyl?
    • What kind of shape is the stock rubber boot on the back of the housing in?

Hey it beats the hell out of $800 plus lol. I would rather do it myself tho once you have done it once it’s not as bad after that.

Definitely do it yourself, I'm sure quality, light output, and life expectancy are not up to par on those walmart lights

Are you just attaching these silica packets to a string and dropping them in the hole were the DRL bulb is?

Love the youtube vids  I just dropped a few in behind the chrome reflector of the headlight housing! With the bezel surround, you'll never see them, and if one day down the line the condensation were to come back for some reason just remove the headlight and wiggle it around so they fall towards the back of the light and you can either use your finger or some needle nose to pull them out. I was able to get it in and out with my fingers, you should have a enough space.

When i first did my headlights my drivers side got pretty bad condensation, not as bad as yours but 2 (3g) silica packets was all i needed

Thanks man! The inside of my headlights are all matte black now so those silica packets will show up clearly. I've got my headlight drying in the direct sunlight now and am thinking about putting some dielectric grease around both my DRL and side marker bulb gaskets to see if either one of them is the culprit. If that doesn't work I'll pull the entire headlight and reseal.

Ahh, I thought you meant just drop them inside of the main headlight housing.

Lol for a second there I just figured you may have accidentally eaten a few of the silica packets. :D So having the packets back there all the time isn't a fire hazard. Guess I'm not sure how hot that part gets with my new HIDs.

@boogie3478 Maybe you can help me out, have you found out a way to wire the halos without getting hyper flash? No matter how I wire them for some reason it causes my drivers side turn signal to hyper flash and not the passenger... I don't even have them tapped to the drl's, i have them wired to a switch so i can turn them off and on as I please. When the switch is off, no hyper flash. when the switch is on and halos come on, hyper flash only on one side. so weird! :(
