So I built a pair of retrofit headlights back in March, they have worked great, besides one of the morimoto switchback ring acting up every once in awhile (figured it was just a loose connection). But the other night both my hid headlight and halo went out on the same side. I was checking all my connections today and the halo was coming on and off but wasn't nearly as bright as the other side, then it went out completely. Anyone know why this would happen?

my money is on the ground... try removing the ground wire, roughing the body surface with sand paper and reinstalling.

How did you wire your switchback halos? I'm also about to do a retrofit this weekend.

I just tapped them into the running lights and blinker and the ground to a bolt that I put into an empty hole to hold the ballast for the hids.

Alright so you didn't have to tap into the ignition?

No just have to flip your light switch to running lights to turn them on
