So I’m doing a projector retrofit, and idk if I’m just dumb but I can’t get this stupid rubber seal broken (between lens’s and housing). I’ve been preheating to 270 for 7 mins but I can’t get it and now I just chipped the housing ;-;. Any advice? I read maybe upping temps to 350 might help but I don’t wanna risk chipping them again so I’m waiting till I post here. Thanks in advance!

I used a heat gun on mine. On both the oem and aftermarket housings.

Be careful with the adjusters, oem is much better. I swapped mine to to aftermarket housings.

Also good luck with wiring its kind of a pain, keeping the highbeam indicator will require a resistor on the high beam circuit.

You using oem or aftermarket housings? New or old? Sounds like you ended up with some that are permasealed and not sealed up with butyl. I'd stick to about 250° but go a little longer, ~12-14 minutes for the first round.

I’m using some aftermarket ones I bought for cheap. At this point I might just restore the OEM’s and do my retrofit in those. I went cheap and it showed Lol.
