Hey everyone! Looking to build a set of headlights. Wanted HID or LED projectors with a nice shroud and halos. On all the websites I’m just kind of lost with all the options. Curious to see your builds and even maybe a list of parts you used!

    Look forward to it.

Morimoto projector retrofit w/ Profile halo DTRL, Morimoto LED fog lights, full custom stereo
    Depo brand headlight assemblies
    Tacoma Retrofit "kit" from Retrofitsource:
Morimoto d2s 4.0 projectors (bought them back in july)
    6500K bulbs (will be replacing w/ 5500K)
    Apollo shrouds
Profile 80mm halos mounted to end of shroud
80mm dome style rubber housing caps from Retrofitsource (not part of the kit)

    Then added Morimoto fog lights

Thanks! It was certainly a lot of work but well well worth it in my opinion.

If I were to do it over, I would probably use a set of OEM lights as the bucket, then probably still use the Depo lenses. This would serve 2 purposes: installing my grille is a little difficult now because the tabs on the inner part of the headlights don't line up as well as OEM lights did, but the lenses on the Depo lights are obviously brand new and the surfaces that are bolted to the inside of the lens, the turn signal and side marker area, came blacked out. So I only had to paint the reflector bowls and the shrouds, as seen in the pics.

Another thing I don't really like is how there is some jiggle in the headlights. I've seen a couple other people report this and I think it's from the projector and how it mounts to the reflector being that most of the weight is in front and it uses a silicone washer on the projector side to help it not slip around. Although one of the builders here says it's from the mounting of the bowl and it's screws but I can't see that being the case. I've got the lockring as tight as I could possibly get it, and still see it bounce a little. I have to be focusing on the cut off point to really be able to see it, but I know it's there. Overall the output is way way better than stock and I'm pleased its just a slight disappointment.
