If you don't mind me asking for a 2012+ which fit into the reflector easier. H1 mini or d2s mini. I wanna try doing it myself. which fit best with minimal cutting.
and in your opinion which do you thing puts out "better" light?

I would go with the D2S. The light quality of each projector is about even, its really more of a personal opinion. I have the H1s on my truck right now but plan on switching to the D2S. Either way you go they are much better than stocks.

What Roo1041 said. I would go D2S, mainly because you can upgrade to better bulbs. They're both pretty even and both the same with installs. If you can wait, TRS's new mini h1 is crazy wide, but it won't come out til January or so.

Anyways, good luck on your retros OP!

Have you seen Andrews write up? It shows what you shave to make D2S work. Not that much

Ok so I may go with the d2s. How much wider is the h1. Is it like a significant increase. or just slightly. The current ones.

Ya. A bit of shaving isn't bad. I was originally tinkling of fsr. but with my luck I would crack my reflector cutting out the back. And I will have to check out that writeup

The parts themselves are pretty expensive. The basic mini H1 kit retails for $270. Then you have the other parts needed such as paint, sealant, housings, shipping, ect.

The benefit is that you can run HIDs without blinding the shit out of everyone else on the road. The projectors direct the HIDs light output and give you a clean cutoff line.

If you just have stock halogen bulbs then HIDs are way better/brighter and allow you to see a lot better at night.

You can also customize the shrouds, halos, and housings to look pretty much however you want them to.

The prices listed are for the aftermarket housings, not OEM. I can build in OEM housings it will just cost more. The pictures of the 06 were built in eagle eye headlights
