I need some tags of some decent write-ups of a complete start to finish of the retrofit install. I don't do crap work so I would like to see some real attention to detail etc. This is my first time doing it so I'm doing a lot of research and plan to start first thing in the morning.

Google "Tacoma world retrofit how to" or "tacoma world DIY retrofit" and you will get plenty of results. I didn't do a write up myself but have made multiple posts covering tricky things I encountered during my install.

I'm a perfectionist when it comes to working on my stuff, so I researched about a week straight, collected all the info I needed, and started the process. First time I've done a retrofit and I was very pleased with the result. Only thing that isn't covered in depth is the wiring.

I learned pretty quick that it's better to just Google the topic with "tacomaworld" in it. It seems to work much better than the search function on this site.. also welcome!

THe wiring is my downfall. I want everything looking uniform and professional. I'm sure once its done ill think "it wasn't that bad"!

Just an fyi if you get switchbacks, wire the orange wire for the signal to your tail light blinker and I wired the white wire to an independent switch so I can turn them on and off as I please. That was the only way to avoid hyper flash.

I would wait to lay out the wiring harness once you wire everything in and you know it works, then you can tidy it all up to make it look OEM!

By no means am I a electrical wiz, but I was able to get the job done.
