A few friends and I decided to return to Calico this weekend to break in my buddy's "new" Defender 90. This is my third trip to Calico and I'm really starting to like that place, especially now that I kind of know my way around. Being more familiar also allows me more freedom to experiment and understand my truck's capabalities. Anyway, enough chatter. Here are some pics.

Do you guy plan on hitting any of the harder stuff like Doran or Odessa? I have a lot of pictures from Calico from our past adventures out there! We freaking love that place and are always out there! If you search my threads you will find the pictures if you want to see them :)

I'll look for those pictures, I'd love to see them.

No, we didn't plan on hitting either of those. I'm not sure my stock truck would make it down without damage. After I get rock sliders and some skid plates, maybe.

Have you run it in your Tacoma, then? How'd it handle it?

Can you share the location directions, and what is there... Is this an ORV park or just open, free use public land? Is this near the Calico of I-15, past Barstow?

Thank you... the closest ORV park to me is Ocotillo Wells, 2 hrs away. Other places would be nice to check out.

It's all BLM wide open land...it's pre-runner friendly, and has two great rock crawling trails. Yes this is right next to the Calico Ghost town which is about 15 mins north of Barstow Get off on Ghost Town Rd. and head north when you exit the FWY once you past the Ghost town look for the 2nd turnoff to your left which is Mule Canyon plenty of roads in the canyon to explore...

There are a lot of abandoned mines and caves to explore...just be careful :)
