New to forum. Proud owner of new 2012 Tacoma Access Cab 4x4.
Need a little advice on reusing TPMS sensors.

My truck is an SR5 and came with the steel wheel package.
I bought a nice set of Toyota Sequoyah Limited alloy wheels (17" with a Toyota part number of ALY69440U79).

Can I use my stock pressure sensors in these new wheels?

You either need to spin them 180 degrees from where they were in the steel wheels (be careful when you change tires in the future) or use a strap kit- but they cen be made to work.

    Welcome to the board!!

    Stickers. Lots of stickers.
    What Brunes said.

You can reuse them by flipping them or getting a kit. BUT if you do, make sure to notify anyone changing your tires about it or they could do some damage.

Or you could buy the alloy wheel sensors if you wanted to go that route

    Also, welcome aboard!

    Thanks guys,
I had never heard of the strap kits. Just Googled.
This seems like a good permanent solution reusing my current sensors.
