ReveMoto: Tacoma 16+ Painted Sport Hoods w/Hood Scoops

Had it installed about a week ago and finally had a chance to get a quick pic of it. Overall I'm pretty happy of how the hood turned out. Color match and perfect fit. But IMO the only negative is the underside of the hood was not clear coated like the OEM. I wasn't careful enough and made a small scratch trying to move it while on the stand and noticed it wasn't primed either and looks to be a single coat of the color. Hence why it scratched so easily. Good thing its underneath and you can't see it. But man what a difference in appearance the hood scoop made to the look of the truck.

SO NICE!!! Such a great upgrade! Glad you were able to get in on the orig GB. You can get in touch with @ReveMoto and see about ordering some touch up paint for underneath. Maybe she will hook you up or I think it's 10% off right now. Reg price about $20... $40 with clear coat.

As noted, hood sadly did not arrive before I went out of the country on business. The courier was just fantastically slow. Reached out to ReveMoto re: next steps.

I believe they said they wouldn't be discounting the hoods that deeply again, but there may be occasional sales.

It's a pretty good deal anyway imo.

The original that didn't arrive before I went out of the country on business ended up being damaged by the time it made it back to ReveMoto, so another is in production and hopefully on the way soon. Crossing my fingers it doesn't arrive damaged.

 

I did have some tears on the box but the hood was undamaged thankfully. Can’t wait to put it on!!

Looks great! How was the install with the ditch lights? I still need to get mine on.

 

Pretty easy. I have my wiring tied under the wipers so it was just the 4 bolts for the hood.

Bolt your lights to the brackets first. I had to re do it because I couldn’t really grab the bolts.
