    **** UPDATE 8/28 ****
Until further notice - The whole hood will be primed, painted and clear coated, both top and bottom sides.

    Edit: **** UPDATE 9/11 ****
Due to multiple factors clear coat will only be applied to the top side of hoods and scoops

@ReveMoto When you get to painting the hoods can you post a couple pics of them during the process?

Went in the site to set up my order and I don’t see my paint code. I have midnight black metallic. Looks to be code 218.

    Hi there!
Looks like your vehicle is a 2018 model, correct? If so, you'd have to put in the exact year since we input the colors according to the years Toyota released the truck in that paint code. Thanks!

Since you asked, it can be done if you're willing to shop around. I've been contemplating this for a while and shopped around for some time now. For me, locally I can go through Toyota of Lake City, the quote for the Hood, scoop, seals, nuts, intake plastic, basically everything needed to install the hood, since the remaining parts can be reused, was just shy of $508. With tax that's $550. I've had paint quotes done in northwest that range anywhere from $300 to over $1000 (for blending the fenders). I've actually used the shop that quoted the $300 in the past to paint the hood on my old S2000, I had no complaints about there quality, even after 5 years of use on that hood. They also offered a lifetime warranty. If I were to not use them again and go with say Magic Toyota the quote was just at $500 for paint and install. I've installed hoods before and this wouldn't be an issue for me, so even then there's some room to save a bit there.

This isn't a pitch for OEM parts, or a dig at your parts. It's just a, yes it can be done and parts do vary by dealer. Some people might not be able to secure a deal like this, while others might do better. YMMV

Wow! Just so I'm understanding correctly...you were able to get a quote for the brand new OEM hood, hood scoop and basically everything we're offering for about $550? And then a paint job for $300?
$850.00 isn't a bad deal especially if they're offering install and a lifetime warranty on the paint job. But then again, if items are coming directly from Toyota, then they have the upper hand all day. Sadly, we have to buy out parts from a vendor and then ship it out to y'all. But, you'd still have to lose your car for at least a couple days. Which is why convenience costs just a tad more.

They are, the parts were from Michaels Toyota, so I get OE parts from the dealer. They come in Toyota boxes, stamped and labeled. I've bought from them before.

As far as paint, I can leave a bumper cap for matching if I don't want to leave the truck with them. Otherwise yes, paint, cure and install is a 2 day quote. Luckily I still have my 4runner on the side.

I have customers ask us all the time why don't we go by the internet pricing since it's significantly lower than the MSRP. And I have to tell them every time that we'd have to literally go pick it up at "said location" because freighting the hood to Houston, TX would cost just as much as the list price. But glad to hear there are options out there for everyone. Because in the end, that's what matters most. :)

    Very true.

I'll give you credit on shipping, normally it would be freight and not cheap, you're price is generous considering that factor.

Bottom line: can you beat $995.00 for all parts, paints, shipping, taxes and services?

Don't think so. But please post a pic or two when you get it done. And hey, competition is good, lowers everyones prices.
