ReveMoto: Tacoma 16+ Painted Sport Hoods w/Hood Scoops

Yes, for me parts w/tax from Lake City Toyota $557. Paint with lifetime warranty from the auto shop I've used was $348. I will install it myself as well as pick it up myself. So my total comes to $905. I went through getting quotes about half a year ago and still haven't purchased anything. The sport hood looks nice but for me its just that looks. Right now I'd rather spend my money on other things, so don't hold your breath on pictures.

BTW if you want to sell things or help things sell here or anywhere, be pleasant, take the higher ground. Just because someone posts something that runs contrary to your bias or beliefs doesn't mean you have to immediately cast doubt. I still maintain the belief that ReveMotos deal is a good one and considering that it discounts shipping and saves the effort of driving for parts really helps.

And by your own admissions...

...you haven't proved that you can beat this deal. That's not to say you can't. Just pointing out that you haven't. So I'm not exactly sure why you are upset having a simple conversation. I certainly am not. I challenged your remarks reguarding dealership prices, that's it, that's all.

 

Im not upset, definitely a short coming on the internet, you cant get emotional context from writing. You are picking my comments selectively here though. I already mentioned I had a cheaper quote from a place Ive worked with before.

Parts were actually less now than stated before.



So the total with paint is 879.87
If I used Magic Toyota like you quoted it would be 1031.87. So yes it would be 36.87 more expensive to use Magic Toyota. I guess for some having OEM parts would be work the extra 36.87.

But I've used APC auto before, as I've mentioned, they include a lifetime warranty and the work they did is going on 9 years without issue now. So my total would be 879.87, or 115.13 less.

 

*UPDATE - 8/29/19*

The creator of this group buy purchased from us and we're waiting on the sample to arrive.
Meanwhile, we checked the hood and hood scoop for damages. Everything looks good. (The left corner of the hood is not dented down, just bad lighting.)

Next, we'll prep this beast (or beauty, whichever you prefer to refer it as) by cleaning and scuffing it up. Nothing too exciting regarding scuff marks so when we actually start the painting process, I'll send you guys another update! ---- Sorry I am not tall enough to get the best photo for y'all. #NotVerticallyGifted - Please send

 

@Semper_Fi & @elduder - It's all good with the hoods. Majority of the time, local quotes will be cheaper than our quotes (unless you live in California or New York where labor costs are astronomical) because we have to ship the items out via freight. On top of that, we use some of the the highest quality of paint (3-4 coats) and then high quality clear coat (also another 2-3 coats depending on how big the part is). For this particular hood and only for this group, we are also clear coating the bottom portion of it to make the hood extra nice. (So at this point, it's costing us a pretty penny too.)
Finally, we buff all parts and make them as perfect as possible, otherwise, I'm sure we'd upset you. (We do not like conflict.)
So we did discount this part greatly just for this group that is so passionate about their Tacomas and would love to keep it friendly and cool. Let's hug it out.

Yeah, freight on those parts was a straight $300. So again, this (your hood) is still a great deal.

ReveMoto 100% guarantees color match. If not satisfied when delivered to you, they will make it right. I chose to send in a sample part to be 110% confident it'll match up with no extra work needed. Normally they keep the sample you send in in case of future corrections, so be sure to contact them and make arrangements before hand for if you need your sample back like I do.
