    Yeah
One 5pin relay and a couple ft of wire is all you need. No reason to waste money on a pre built harness for something as simple as that.

    Yeah
@Tacotoast understandable but the factory connectors are under $10 for the full set plus that few ft of wire and one relay… You’re looking at under twenty bucks when it’s all said and done and you’re not paying someone else $$$ to do something you can easily do yourself.

BTW it’s not hard to do it the right way and not “create electrical gremlins” if you put one minute of planning into it.

Only drawback I've heard with them is that they don't like turn signal and reverse at the same time, like when you parallel park. On the other hand, how often do you parallel park a truck? :)

I bought the $20 VLEDS 15 ohm resistor kit which plugs right in between the meso bulb and harness and I no longer have the parallel parking hyperflash. That issue was not a big deal but I’d rather have it gone for $20 than have it.

100% this. The only people who create gremlins and future failure points for themselves are the ones who don't know what they're doing and don't make connections properly. I use ridiculously tight non-insulated butt splices with a tool that gets them so tight they are a stronger connection than the wire itself. I use thick heat shrink afterwards and tape/loom as necessary. If I have a failure, there is a major problem. The only time I hesitate to hard splice into the stock wiring (when a jumper is not an option) is if there's a chance I may want to go back to stock, or if it's in a difficult location that will make it hard for me to do a good job.

That said I'd definitely rather a jumper harness simply because it's plug and play and easier, and that definitely won't create gremlins either. I am probably going to build the license plate cancel myself, do you know where to get the connectors?

Edit: nevermind, found Dave's thread on how to build it. Sweet.
