    Im looking to put some reverse lights on my 2011 Tacoma and was wondering if any of you had any ideas on what brand is best and where to mount them??

    I heard somehwere that the backup bulbs are actually interchangable (same socket) with larger lamps. I forget the numbers. Just a thought.

    You are correct, I've seen some people with Silverstars in their reverse lights. No idea about longevity since I'm sure they get much hotter than the normal bulbs.

    Otherwise, if clearance isn't an issue, under the bumper, near the hitch. If clearance is an issue, mounted them high in the bed facing backwards. You can use the bed rails and mount the lights to them using tabs.

    Tail gate hose clamp, Front Windows 50% tint, fog lights, 894 backup light mod, LED license & interior.
    I was going to install 55watt fog lights back there but I bought the kit a year ago and haven't installed it yet lol. Want to buy mine off me :). Iv'e heard you can put brighter bulbs back there too, but then you have to worry about heat if you leave your truck in reverse too long.

    I put on 2 these. Found them at O'Rielys (Kragen) Auto Parts. They are only about 13 bucks a piece, so if they go out or I bust one, they aren't too expensive to replace. I think they are 35 watts each. They put out pretty good light too. Enough to see back there anyways.
