This is a follow up to a previous and older thread.

    Summary:
    2006 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 w/ 155,000, Auto trans.
Delay going from reverse to drive, (3-4 seconds)
Might happen 3 times in a day. Then not again for 100 miles.
No consistency, (cold, hot, hill, flat, starting out or end of trip)
Fluid level has been checked and is at the factory level. (at the check screw)

I don't believe this is the common delay as the transmission doesn't engage immediately. When it does click in, it is slightly more "hard" but not much. I just wait 3-4 seconds, it clicks in and then I drive away as normal.

3 times over the last 3 months I couldn't start my truck without moving the transmission shifter around. This is what makes me think it could be an electronic issue. Coincidence or ?

    Thoughts?
