Nope, didn't disconnect the battery, guess I will today. For big things I do, not a dinky bulb. I always learn the hard way.

 

I just bought one just for shits an giggles, ive never really had a complaint with the amount light from the stock one. But we will see how it works.

for not disconnecting the battery, always disconnect when you messing with electrical. atleast i do

 

I've still got this installed, but of the 48 LEDs, only about 5/6 work when the truck is not turned on. They flicker. When the truck is on, more usually work and they're stronger, but I am thinking I will be looking at what oznium has to offer. Best of luck to you guys with it!

Ordered one...Should be here shortly. I got a 12 led one off ebay and it puts out pretty decent light, when the 48 gets here it should put 12 to shame!

 

I need another blue one. Any of you AZ guys want to order it for me and I'll pay you in person? I'm banned for life using paypal (anti-gun MFers...).

 

WOW! Ordered the 48 white led and it might as well be day time in there! It is BRIGHT! I'll see if I can't get any pix up.

 

Sorry for the poor quality but the camera don't like taking pix at night w/o flash...Still very impressed by the output of the LED though.

 

After almost a week I'm down to to 42 LEDs. Kind of sucks but still bright as hell.

 

Ive had mine since Feb and im still rocking all my lights, and its still bright as hell... but make sure you turn it off if your doors going to be open for a prolonged period of time.

 

i have had mine for about 2 or 3 years now.... still working like a champ

My little 15 burns my eyes out! I can't even imagime what a 48 would do. I had to stick a rosco gel cut under the leds to cut the brightness.

 

these things will get hot as hell.

Does anyone know how to change the radio light color?

 

I know this thread is a little old. If i don't see any responses I might just start a new one. I too want red in the dome for saving night vision mostly during hunting season but just in general. I can't find green cuz that's what I really want. If you know of green ones let me know please.

But here are cheep (like under $5) red LED's that put out 240 lumens 3.6w compared to the white/blue 48 LED's at only 2.8w. I ordered 3 and got them for under $4 each. I plan to wire the other two one on each side of the bed under my tonneau cover so I have night light for pulling the packs and stuff out of the back.
I'll put up pics of install when I get them in.

also for the lights in the bed, I want to pull constant 12V power maybe from the trailer light harness, is this possible? and a second thing I would like to add a timer type switch to these lights since they will have constant power I cant risk leaving them on and getting back to the truck with a dead battery. any help is appreciated

 

mine has 12 led's and is really bright. i bet this is blinding!!!!
