So I've been lurking on this forum for a few months now just soaking in a lot of the information but haven't registered because I don't have a ton to offer compared to most of you guys.

Then I found this post and, after almost getting hit twice at a 4 way stop thanks to my low hanging mirror, I decided to register and see about getting this mirror bracket.

I traded PM's with ImMrYo this week and received my bracket today. I was quite impressed with the packaging and the quality of the bracket. A small allen wrench was even included. Installation was a snap and the bracket has exceeded my expectations.

Got mine, #201, today and I couldn't be happier, well designed. My mirror clips on so it only took me a minute to install. Love how I can see out the front & improved rear view. Will have payment out on Monday, Thank You again.

Works great on pre 2009 that have no torx. They use a clip to hold the mirror base onto the metal bracket that is glued to the windshield. Check out post #74, also I described what needs to be done in post #200 to get the mirror off the windshield.

Ha! I thought I was alone in this. I wear a size 15 shoe. I've been able to palm a basketball since 6th grade. I'm pressed for head room in most vehicles yet I'm only 6' tall thanks to about a 28" inseam. I'm all torso so vehicles for me are difficult and I was amazed at how much space this mirror took up in the way of outward visibility. I wasn't aware how bad it was until I found this thread and I'm SO stoked about this mod. I can't wait for my bracket to arrive so I can get it installed. Just another on the loooong list of mods that has made my truck better for me. I can't wait to report back the results even though it appears as though everyone already has with tons of thumbs up.

The difference in visibility is really nice. Well worth the price.

Got the package yesterday, installed the bracket last night. Love it! Payment will be mailed out today. Drove to work and for the first time since owning a 2009, a 2011, and a 2012 I can see the entire freeway without having to duck my dead down.

Thanks for designing this piece Gerald!

Some don't have the torx screw. Mine had a clip that I had to pinch under the plastic cover. I pinched that and was able to slide the mirror up.

I can't get mine off either... You try pressing both sides of the mount and then sliding the mount up? :notsure:
