It will still work perfectly as there are two adjusting points on our mirror that would allow you to use the bracket exactly as it was intended.

Dang - I always thought that was a sensor for the mirror's auto-dimming function

Holy crap you ain't kiddin'!

Mine showed up today and it took me about 5min including taking down my custom bracket (radar detector) before I could even start and then putting it back on after I was complete. The outward visibility has been increased SO greatly that I almost couldn't believe it. I only wish I had found this thread sooner as I've had the truck a couple months and it could have been a different experience the entire time. If you're reading this right now and are considering doing this mod.... stop! Just do it now and stop thinking about it because it's a no brainer and there really is no downside to this.

Thanks SO much for these brackets and payment for #219 is in the mail! :D

I know lots of pics have been posted but here's one from a slightly different angle and showing off my sweet sweet $2 bracket! lol

X2 (except I hope he already has my $) - it was easy to install, and well built... the mirror itself was a pain to remove from the original though.

    thanks

Just wanted to say i have had this in my truck for over a week now and today i moved another taco and for the few minutes i was driving this other truck i was getting angry with the mirror position. I can never see myself not having this adapter cause it makes my truck way morer awesome for the every day driving. I cant see how Toyota didnt do this from the start. Thank you very much for such a stellar product.

I hope that you are still reading this thread regularly.

Because you need to hear the praise for your work!

Through the years, I've had a few ideas such as this but I never had the drive to actually get up, design it, manufacture it, test it and make it available to others as you have done. For that I thank you and applaud you.

Your inexpensive (some people will read that word as "cheap" but they need to understand that your bracket is far from being a cheap product) mirror bracket fulfills EVERY expectation I had for it; from the "just right" packaging, the fact it is made of metal, the precise production values, the minimal size, to the cost.

I cannot believe that Toyota has allowed this design DEFECT to linger but I am certainly glad that there are people like you who are willing to correct it in such a professional manner.

    Well done, sir, well done.
