It's as easy as removing a set screw, pulling the bracket off and putting it on the new windshield, then tightening a set screw.

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in here. I had moved the mirror button up 2 1/4" on my 1st windshield, then a rock about landed in my lap, requiring a new windshield. The nitwits at the famous national windshield company moved the button on the replacement, but forgot to do so on the second replacement when the first one leaked...real bad. I wasn't crazy about moving the button on a brand new windshield (and couldn't survive any more help from them). Then I found this site and ImMrYo's bracket. Great guy to deal with ("send me the money when you get the part"...who is this man? where, or when, is he from?). Too bad more business can't be conducted this way anymore. And this part, simple enough, yet not something most of us can crank out in the garage, is perfect! Huge safety improvement for us 6-foot-plus fellers. You don't realize how badly the mirror blocks your view until it doesn't anymore!
Well worth the price and a pleasure to deal with!

(I posted this on another thread as well. Just trying to give credit where it's due)

Awesome build on this bracket. It's stout metal, not plastic. Payment just sent for #1579.
