hopefully the new ones will still be a great tire. on the tread tho...something i did notice on the new ones....less channels on the sides for water to get out, unlike the old ones, where the channels were pretty wide.

IMO, this is the most important feature of Revos too. Just bought a set about a month ago. I miss them already! :(

yeah.....it was a definite reason why i am on my 2nd set of them...besides how well they ride/handle. the openings in the sides let water out really well.....so chances of hydroplaning on them are very slim.

yeah the bridgestone revo 2 web page said the tread was not as wide to make the tire less noisy but they have new features to keep with with good traction.

i swear im beating a dead horse here :)deadhorse:) but im still struggling between 265/65 and 265/70. i know the 265/70 looks better, and is only an inch bigger, but id like this truck near stock as possible.

what type of mpg loss am i looking at for those that have had both? i know my speedo and odometer will be more accurate than with the 285/70s no matter which tire i go for, but im still kind of torn between the 2

i would be willing to bet that the difference in mpg wouldnt be noticeable at all.

    265/65 Dunflops 21/22 mpg
    265/70 AT Revo's 18/19 mpg

That's straight odometer readings so there is some giveback for the change of ratio. My odo/speedo seems closer to actual with the bigger tires though.

My own. You can feel them but there isn't a big difference in performance with a V6.

Edit....again.......Mine are on 9" rims so that may account some for feeling them more.

I saw a set of Revos and Revo2s sitting next to one another today at the tire dealer that I go to for stuff...and they are pretty subtle (imo) differences. Not having driven either one I can't comment entirely competently.

but from the look over that I gave them to sipes are a bit smaller and the voids are shaped differently...but they don't look like a radical departure from the Revos.

Firmer yes but not hard. Control is much improved, at least in part due to the wider rims but Revo's handle SO much better anyway.

I just got a set of Revo 2's from Discount Tire and went with the 265/65. I don't think they look small at all but that's just me.

As far as the tire goes, I couldn't be happier with the Revo2. I got new 9" wheels too and the truck just feels like it sticks to the road and handles great. Tires are quiet and many people have commented how the truck looks better with the new combo.
