Hey all. I’ll be getting 5.29 gears and the shop is giving me the choice of Nitro, Revolution, or Yukon gears for the same price.

I have ruled out Nitro due to some negative posts I’ve seen recently.

Can anyone give some input on their experience with either the Revolution or Yukon? Much appreciated!

The negative posts are a minority to the positive and are very subjective. I wouldn’t rule them out, I run Nitro and Yukon and they both work.

    Thank you for the input.

If you were to do it again, with price all the same, would you go with Nitro, Yukon, or Revolution?

IT's interesting, I am in your boat. I plan on getting gears this summer before my lift. I have known of yukon for a long time, since with jeeps, they seem to be more common. But everything I have been reading about nitro, I am leaning towards nitro. I really know nothing about Rev, haven't looked into them. Doesn't seem like there is a lot of people running Rev here on this forum.

So here is a question for those that have gears that may have actually done their research, where is each of these three brands made?

I am pretty sure Rev is made in Korea, But I cannot nail down where the other two are made, India? China?

I’d go with whomever had them in stock. I have no experience with revolution. You can typically find group buys in the automotive group section or sales for gears. I bought mine for about 10% off and included REM polishing. I think Yukon has a better overall reputation due to the diversity of products.

    Thanks again for the input.

Do you think its worth it to pay $300 more for REM polishing and/or $500 more for a 10 year warranty?

Depends, I had mine REM polished but I think I paid around $200 but warranty is typically manufacturing defects and what not, very difficult to prove.

Keep in mind that Nitro will not warranty a REM polished gearset. Not sure about the other manufacturers.

I think OP is talking about Premier Gears in Riverside CA and they sell 10yr warranty themselves.
