I know I know, no one likes spacer lifts, But im looking into buying some 2.5" revtek lift spacers from a fellow member here. I would like to see a picture of a dcsb with non-tsb rear leafs with nothing but a 2.5" revtek spacer lift. Want to see what my taco will look like with it on!

You'll have a 1/2" bro lean. Assuming the bed is empty. Many of us have ran spacer lifts in the beginning, but nobody likes talking about it. :anonymous:

If you get a complete Revtek kit, it'll come with a pair of both insert and top plate spacers for the front, and either a block or add-a-leaf in the rear.

Then you'll be happy with the looks. Just keep in mind, it's a rough ride, and you'll want to upgrade it to a better lift ASAP. Lots of reports of damage caused by spacers.

3'' in front 1 1/4'' in back I have had spacer lifts on both my Tacomas now never had anything break.. The spacer lift didn't affect my ride at all still rode smooth the bigger wheels and tires made my ride a little stiff..

Sorry for the bad pic its the only one I have right now..

I originally had Revtek lift in my 2005 Taco TRD. It was good for awhile but I recently upgraded to bilstein 5100/OME/Toytec setup. Gave me bout an inch more lift than Revtek and great ride. If your just looking for a little more ride height and bigger tires while saving $$$$$ Revtek is fine. Just understand spacer lifts stink. I have the rear blocks that come with the Revtek kit sitting in my garage. Ill offload them cheap if you want. Let me know bro!

I will only have the spacer lift until I can afford something better in the near future...working on a new job right now that will be paying me more and more hours so I will be able to afford better soon, just want a little tougher look with a little bigger tire until my funds support a better kit.

Spacer lifts cause breakage when you bottom out the shock hard since the factory bump stop is no longer long enough to directly pass the force of the impact from the lower control arm to the frame via the bump-stop and the entire force is transmitted via the shock, which is NOT designed to take that shock-loading.

So - as long as you're aware of the limitations and treat your truck reasonably well, you should be fine. If you find yourself bottoming out hard - it's time to back off.

If I were you I'd have patience. IMO it's kind of dumb spending money on spacers if you say you want something better in the near future anyway. Save your money, get what you want when funds allow.

Then I'd save my money until I have enough for a good suspension lift if I were you.

You'd think more spacer lift makers would provide them wouldn't you? But I think if you want that, you have to fab up your own.

If you want spacers I say get them. If you really want something else, save your money until you can save a couple hundred more. No need paying twice for the same effect.
