Can you LEGALLY rewire your lights so your corner lights are your turn signals, and your turn signals are like fog lights? I don't really understand what purpose the corner lights serve, and I don't like how the space in the bumper is wasted on turn signals rather than fog lights when I think the corner lights would be fine as turn signals...

it is legal but only if you put a brighter bulb in the corner lights. but i highly doubt that a cop will pull you over for something that ridiculous

do you need to get a switch for the fog lights? or do they just come on automatically when you turn on the headlights?

Legally, well, that depends on your own state.

My state, Utah, requires turn signals that can be seen from the front for xx yards. It also requires marker lights.

So, if I wanted to do this, I'd have to put both the turn signals and the marker lights in the corner lights. The corner lights can be seen from the front, so as long as I have two different functions running off the corner lights, I should be fine. Not sure on your own state laws though.

Now as for wiring the fog lights, I think I'd take the route of actually running new wires for the fog lights and put some real fogs in. I guess you could get away with some leds or something instead, but ya might as well do it right the first time and put the fogs on their own fuse. If you use a relay you can easily set it up to auto turn on/off with your headlights, if thats what you wanted.

nasty dent on driver's side bed panel, shabby seats, cigarette burned interior roof, missing berf bar pad, cracked rain visor, removed hood scoop, unmentionable stain on back bench?
i am building a front bumper for my truck and the only thing holding me back is the moving the turn signals on the bottom bumper, any ideas?
