Rexing V2 Dashcam wiring question

I’ve been using this thing about three months now. It seems legit. The only my problem is that even though I ran the power line through the dash, under the console and to the 12v outlet in the center storage, it is hit and miss when I turn on the truck. Sometimes it powers up. Sometimes it doesn’t and I have to unplug it and plug it in (from the unit not the plug; the plug is seated firmly). But then when it’s on, it’s perfect.

So I bought a hardwire kit from Best Buy and it comes with a green mini fuse which I’m assuming I have to plug into the fuse box somewhere. But the fuse doesn’t have an amp rating on it. To add insult to injury, I can’t find any literature on Rexing site about powering it.

Suggestions are welcome

 

My Rexing does the same thing. Not all the time but sometimes. The on/off button on the side of the camera doesn’t turn it on either. Like you I have to unplug it (and it usually takes 2 times) to get it started. Other than that it’s a good camera.

 

A green blade fuse should be rated for 30A, not sure if that helps with your problem though.

I don't have the Rexing but check their website for firmware updates. They may have a patch to fix this.
