Had a big 'ol time at Richloam today. It wasn't nearly as wet as I was expecting it to be, but there was still plenty of mud to play in. Everyone got a little stuck at some point or another. I hammered on the OGT quite a bit, but she held tough. I think she likes mud better than hill climbing. The only casualty of the day was Frank. He sucked in a bit of water from both ends. Not enough to hyrdolock the engine, but enough that we needed to make some field repairs to get Squeaky running (thanks, Mike, you're the best!). Oh and I did manage to hit a log or something in one of the holes we went though and ended up tweaking the dust shield on my left front brakes. It started rubbing on the rotor so our friendly mechanic jumped down there and bent it back until it was clear.

I think we all got a bunch of video. I'm working on mine right now. Not sure how long before I have it ready to post but it won't be too long. I didn't take a lot of pictures, but if I got any good ones, I'll put them up shortly. Can't wait to see what the others got.

Ryan, it was good to meet you finally. Frank, and Frank's other brother, Ryan, and Throny Mike, it was a pleasure as always.

not sure about the SR5 part but yes, set at 1.75

 

Do you have a rear elocker?

 

Yes. Pretty sure it's SR5, I just don't have the badges.

 

You do have the rear diff locker then (there's a button on the dash right by the dimmer switch that says something like RR Diff Lock)? If so then it's not technically an SR5. Does the locker work? 'cause it looked like you had an open diff out there today.

 

I have a rear locker, I just don't use it.

 

You wanna swap rear axles? 'Cause I'd be using that sucka all the damn time.

 

It's confusing to engage and such.

 

@1stgen Not having one, from what I understand, unless you've done the gray wire mod (which would allow you to lock it any time), you just have to have it in 4Lo and then mash the button and it should lock in. Had you locked the rear, you probably wouldn't have gotten stuck in that first hole...at least you probably would have been able to successfully back out of it.

The only reason I made it through a lot of those holes I did was thanks to the fact my front diff is locked. Otherwise I wouldn't have had that little extra that pulled my up out of them.

 

I need to try and use it more often.

 

For mine it has to be in neutral, 4Lo with brake pressed then I mash the button and if it doesnt engage then I just put it in drive and turn the wheels a little
