    Ft pierce is pretty decent but West palm you only have to go out like 2 miles and your in the gulfstream. I take you guys prob troll and not bottom fish.[​IMG]

    We do both equally really. I prefer the trolling offshore for mahi though. But ya 2 miles to the Gulf Stream sounds fantastic, we gotta go at least 15 out of the Keys before we hit anything decent

    I am definitely down for that. I laughed at the sailing times though only lasting 4 hours when charters into the Gulf are usually 8-12 hours because of how far you have to go out.... another reason why the west coast of Florida sucks lol. 12 hours on a boat, even when the fish are biting, is enough to make me want to drown myself.

    The wierd thing is this exact same thought came across my mind.I am curious on how well the Firestones will perform they do seem to clean well.

    In all honesty, unless you plan on going out desert racing, I'm not convinced that resis here in Florida (or for any technical wheeling) are really worth it, unless you just want them for the "wow, look how much money I spent on my badass truck" factor, but then you did get called a Brodozer, so it'd be understandable. :rofl:

    We just don't cycle our suspension rapidly or violently enough to really need resis, IMHO.

    (And of course you realize, I was teasing about the Brodozer thing. ;))

    I didn’t think they were worth it either, until i got them. Not so much for the cooling, but they ride and flex so well. Worth every penny to me. Plus they look cool. But now days they are the bro dozer show off shock of choice.

    K, but what did you have before them? What I'm asking is that if you replaced a set of Billies with a set of non-resi Kings, might you have gotten the same result?

    Not that it makes any difference. You should run what you want. It's just that my budget is so tight that the only things I've done to the OGT purely for the "cool" factor and didn't serve any practical purpose were the cab lights, the green LED marker lights, and arguably the paint job (although the truck did need to be painted when I got it). So I kind of have a weird perspective on things. :D

    Actually i had those toytecs that Timbo has, they rode kinda firm, but I wasn’t trail riding as much then. And honestly, those are basically billys with a threaded sleeve. And those were over priced for what they were. But i do get your point, I just decided this time around i was going to get the high end coil overs and see what the hype was about. I figured i have no kids, i worked for it , I’m going to do it. And i am satisfied.

    That's all that counts. :thumbsup: Sorry if I came off snobby to you or @Key-Rei . After all, I'm running cheap-ass OMEs in front and 5125s in the back...and I noticed a marked improvement when I went to 5125s in the rear (over the OME Nitrochargers), which is why I'm going to go with 5100s in the front when I do the suspension on the T4R...although the 5100s may end up on the OGT and the hammered OMEs may end up on the T4R when the time comes. :devil: At any rate I'm too damn poor to afford even smooth body Kings so I guess my opinion isn't worth much, haha.

    Edit: Still, I think it bears mentioning, considering the relatively tiny amount of money I have tied up in the OGT, aside from my CV axle issues, the truck is freaking amazingly capable. I bet I have less than 30K in it including what I paid for it.

    I have been purdy pleased with my set up with 5100’s &885’s and I even used a 1/2” spacer and a 1/4” spacer. It did hit purdy hard following certain people on trails going 40mph. The super bumps up front took care of a lot of that issue. The next time around Ill prob just do a heavier coil with 5100’s again un less @Trident904 has is ADS for sale than I have dibs lol.

    Too bad I'm an introvert, or I'd attempt to start a movement with all the 1st Gen 4WD manual hub owners to petition the axle manufacturers like RCV, Diamond, TG, and any others to make a damn affordable Chromo birfield joint/stub axle for our trucks. Heck if it wouldn't cost me as much as doing an SAS, and I had the $$$$, I'd probably throw money at them until they made me a set, haha.
