my rear end is a little low with the 1.5" blocks. Right now I'm deciding between AAL and Dakars.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I haul stuff here and there and pull a trailer frequently. Don't want to be sagging.

If your wanting to lift or level your much better off to follow dimestore's suggestion and buy your front struts preassembled with the proper coils. Getting them preassembled also gets you new top hats, studs, and bushings plus you can have the trim packer added to correct the lean in the front end. It is not beneficial to lift your truck using the struts to lift and combining with stock coils. You'll have a rough ride and you've preloaded your coils giving yourself the same effect as a spacer lift. Use the coils to lift. Get the rt coils to achieve about 2.5" lift and leave the struts at the 0 setting to get the most benefit. Ask Marie @Headstrongoffroad she'll set you up with the rt package. You can get a good functional suspension you'll be happy with for around $800 just my opinion but I wish I'd have known the first time so I didn't end up buying 2 lift kits

If you buy the whole package at once the UCA's only end up costing $300 and change, individually they're around $450

Appreciate the advice. Already bought the 5100s front and rear. I wonder if somewhere will sell a kit without them

Sure you can order just the coils for the front and have them assembled useing the parts from your stock coils and then just order a 1.5" aal and you may or may not need the ubolts. I would check to confirm the shocks for the rear will work with the aal (make sure they're long enough)

Matt from Headstrong told me that with single AAL you can use stock U-bolts but with progressive or leaf packs you need extended. He also said they recommend extended shocks but they're not 100% necessary unless extreme flexing.

I would suggest considering a 2.5" lift for the front and you can go without having to replace your uca's rt now. You'll have to have an alignment done at completion and you want your technician to try and get your castor numbers up to 2-3 degrees positive castor. I am in no way an expert only telling you things I've had to learn myself (some the hard way) and trying to help you have a more positive experience than I did. Others on here know far more than I and perhaps may chime in.

And yet more good news as I believe you can purchase just the aal for around $90.
