Rick are you still using the white Maxtrac Shocks in the rear, or did you upgrade? Also did you re-gear after going to 35s? Truck Kicks Ass!

Thanks! yes still have the extended maxtrac shocks in rear. Im thinking about getting some better quality ones though. These are pretty good I cant complain, but I'd really like to get some icons to match the front. Nope didnt re-gear. Believe it or not these 35" MTR's are quite a bit lighter then the 295 Grapplers. It actually rides better then it did before!

Thanks man! I never really had a 3" lift. I did have the leveling kit which might have been around 3" up front. I had the 265x70x17's on with that and no rubbing(removed all mud flaps before i got them). I would imagine you would have to trim some to make those work. Wheel specs have a lot to do with it too.

So did your spindle lift begin with the Maxtrac 4in Kit from Headstrong when you upgraded?

Just a little on the bottom of the fender/ fender flares, cab mount chop will also help. You should be ok with a 3''

You have an awesome truck! I'm slowly building towards something pretty similar, what leaf springs are you running and how much lift are they giving you? I'd like to be able to fit 35s once all said and done.

Well I went from the spacer leveling kit to Maxtracs with 5100's @ 1.75
I didnt get mine at Headstrong but they are a great place.

Yeah I was contemplating getting them. i went back and forth and finally said screw it and got them.
Thanks.I have the factory leafs back there with an aal and a leaf (on each side)that i custom cut, from of an old doge pick up, and 2" tapered blocks. I'd like to get some custom made Alcans but they are pricey. Right now im 1" higher then in front (truck was 2" higher in rear stock) and it is exactly where i like it. It appears to be level. I've actually had it perfectly level before and it appears to be lower in rear when its that way. I've got about 3" of lift from the aal and extra dodge leafs and 2" from blocks, so 5" of lift in rear total.
I think you will have an easier time fitting the 35's if you have spindles because your wheels are automatically 4" lower then stock. It wont cycle up as high as a stock spindle truck would so rubbing is minimized. I had to trim the black inner fender and the corners of the flare(near cab mount) i didnt have to do a CMC yet. I think i can get away with not having to chop them. I need to remove coil overs and cycle them to see for sure.

Yeah, the spindles are great. Only advantage to the prerunners haha. Thanks for the info. I'm planning fox 2.5s up front at 1-2", and rear allpro 3" standard leafs, so down the road I might need to throw a block under there or go with alcans that are a bit taller to accommodate 35s but for now they will suit my needs.

Once you get the alcans let us know how you like them!

Spindles aren't the only advantage to prerunners!
But they sure are sweet

Rick...I'm liking your Raptor style LED's in the grill. I looked at the vendor of those. So the LED's are actually projecting from the side of the bolt. Just curious as to the mount points and how you fashioned them into the Grillcraft. Any close-ups?

Yeah they have almost about 180* of light towards the front. They are small, but perfect size for something like that imo. I didnt want too much going on in there if you know what i mean. I actually mounted them on the original plastic part of the grill surround that wasnt cut (right next to where it was cut). I'll try to take some pics for you. It's really easy though. Took the grill off truck and mounted/wired them in my kitchen. Then put grill back on and hooked up the two wires into my parking lights.

Thanks Bro! No need for pics...I hear what your saying. I was debating between the ones you have and the Superbrightled Bolt LED's. I know our grillcraft mesh is fairly dense and was wondering how much light would project between the holes and if it is worth it... I'll add this to my list...lol

When your looking head on you can see all the leds behind the grill, but when off to side at just the right angle one of the leds might be hidden behind the grill mesh. Those superbright ones look like they would be good too!
