I own a sport, 69K miles, drove a OR for about a month while the sport was in on a recall, I definitely liked the ride of the OR more, softer on the trails, beaches and those potholes. But would I trade my sport for an OR now, no! I like my Sport LB

i'd say drive them all and see what he likes..

i can say from personal experience that a sport (my son had a 2017 sport) has a pretty firm ride. borders on harsh to me, but it handles the turns and all really flat and nicely. the offroad (i had a 2017 offroad) has a lot smoother ride but felt floppy in corners compared to the sport. not dangerous feeling or anything but way less stable feeling then the sport. suspensions are set up for totally different things which is why such a difference.. i have no experience with a limited. if i had to guess i'd think it would ride better then a sport and handle better then the offroad but i really don't know.....
