    Happy thanksgiving all

    Hi all

I just happened to check my geometry as I may be looking to upgrade suspension. I was starting to dig into my exact lift settings as I was a noob and the shop did most of the work.

my billstein 5100 spring seat setting is at the top which billstein says gives you a 2.5” lift. I have 285/70/17 wild peaks running 32 psi

From ground to too center fender flare is measuring 38” stock was 35”

The wheel should give me 1-1.5” and lift of 2.5”. You would think I would get 4”. Does it settle based on the front end weight by an inch? I have stock coils if that helps.

    This is more being curious.

I added icon 1.5 AAL and with the same tires I’m at 38” too but I would think I would get 3” more than stock which was 36”

Any help with my heartburn would be helpful as I’m trying to figure what is the next front suspension to get to keep everything the same.

Most measure center of hub to bottom of flare/fender. The is a few threads on lift height.

I’m not sure what your question is.

My main question is if my front would settle an entire inch if I got 5100 set at 2.5” and I have 33” Original was 35” and I’m at 38” but I would think it would be 2.5 + 1.5 + 35 = 39

    and the rear I have 1.5” and 33” so I would think I get 3” but it’s sitting at 38” when original was 36”. 36 + 1.5 + 1.5 = 39.

    Are the CV angles good?

It is what it is. Advertised lift heights are just estimates, sometimes even less than that.

Still hard to determine what you are asking. I think the confusion is you expect 1.5 inches from larger tires. If the new tires are 1.5 inches larger than old; you only get .75“ lift.

For what it’s worth, I have 33’s, Kings with factory preload, and medium Dakars and the last I measured my ground to fender distance it was 38” in the front and 39” in the rear.

A 33" tire is measured with no weight. Once you have weight on it's not going to measure 33" anymore. Bottom flattens out for contact pattern/patch. Psi increases/decreases height/ contact pattern/patch. Just go measure your height, as it sits.

    Work in progress...
You left out a whole lot of stuff. What extra bumpers, skid plates, etc. That being said "Happy Thanksgiving!"
