It is all Tray Mtn Rd... Just come in from the side north of Helen and drive to the top. Take a short (30 min) hike up to the summit and turn around and drive out the same way...

    Yeah you'll be fine.

To anyone that wants to do Tray:
If you're a 4x4 you'd be fine going up Chimney side, just pick your lines better

Unless it's raining horribly you'll be fine, don't go through the mud puddle at the top its a $500 fine if they catch you

Ok stupid question, any one have an address for the trail head, I found directions for one side but it seems to be the Chimney side.

Josh is right. I was up there last Saturday, and as long as you have 4x4 you'll be fine. Definitely gotta pick your lines and pay attention to the weather. Only mod on my 03 is sliders and 31x10.50 KM2's, but I think I could've done it without either of those things. It is also a little easier going down the Chimney Mtn. side rather than up.

You picked the correct first mods my man! I'd look at getting better skids then a lift if I did it again

So, I currently have 31's, 1.75" lift in the front and 2" lift in the back, sliders and an 3/8" steel skid plate. Doable with this setup then?

Trey? You'd be fine stock since you're 4x4. Just had to pick correct lines. But you'll be fine! You could even do Bell mountain!

I'm new to Georgia, just moved to Augusta a couple months ago (work related) from Colorado. I'm not sure if finding trails here is harder because there are less of the of them than I am used to or just my lack familiarity with the area. I will be giving this trail some serious thought over the next few days.

Geneeva Creek, Hacket Gulch, Slaughterhouse Gulch, Black Bear Pass if the weather is nice and you have a lot of experience (People actually die on that road). Trail Damage dot com has a very good list of trails in Colorado.
