Ridiculously Priced Parts

I was looking for a thread like this but couldn't find one so if someone knows of it, please let me know. But I feel like this is a great way to point out parts that absurdly priced relative to the function of the part.

I was looking at replacing the upper timing belt cover that holds Spark plug wires. I was thinking I would have to spend $50 at most. Instead, I can't find them under $100.

Who is going to throw away a perfectly good Tacoma? Seriously though, have had a hard time finding a junk yard with a first Gen.

 

I have a yard around me that has nothing but tacomas and 4runners. Hundreds of them

 

I am betting where ever it is it is at least 1000 miles from me.
