I like that you've thought about security, but I don't know why you need all that extra rattle. Also accessibility is an issue here!

I'm a pragmatist in that sense. OK, someone stops your truck and motions for you to get out. They've got a shotgun or pistol leveled at you. How does that AK protect you at all?

"It's for varmints" some people say with a nudge and a wink. OK, if you need 4+ mags for a coyote...
And if you run across the type of "wildlife" that shoots back, if you need more than 2 full 30 rounders you're probably in waaaaay over your head! Spoilers: even 9mm will zipper your Taco's doors like butter. That's assuming they even let you get out and futz around in the back- if you have time to jump out and unlock it out of your rear seat cubby, you probably have time to turn tail and HAUL ASS.

The only reasonable situation I can think of would be you returning home to a home invasion in progress.

I know it seems hella badass to carry all that around, but your use cases are so very limited as to essentially be useless.

This is why I tend to be one of the school of "Glock 19, 1 extra mag, easily accessible."

    There is no rattle.
I have a 19 and extra mag or a shield and extra mag on my body, and a S&W 60 or 36 within reach beyond what I'm carrying.
    It's not for reasonable situations.

If I were planning for reasonable situations I wouldn't carry a gun at all. The reason you carry a Glock 19 is to fight unreasonableness, not reason. ;)

With accessibility like that, I have 99.9999% certainty of one thing:

OP has never been in a gunfight.

He may be a veteran. So there's that.
I'm not sure how you can troll about this when he has pictures documenting the write up in the OP.

    1. Most Veterans have never been in a gunfight.

    2. Why would you join and post this right away, with no other posts? Maybe it's just the former mod in me (another website), but sounds like when someone makes a second account.

Regardless, AKs will do some damage. Great weapon of choice OP.

I see your point, maybe in just being cynical.

Regardless, sorry for shitting in your thread OP

    Anyone seen my wallet?
Who cares why? Id rather have it not need it than need it and not have it.

That being said, all that security is a bit much. If someone wants it, theyll get it. Id aim for making it more accessible, for when you really need it.

God I hate California. If a cop ever saw this where I live, id be splayed out on the concrete and they'd shut down a six block radius. Otherwise I have no issue with the setup.

Agreed on quick access, There needs to be a way to secure a long gun of some type in the 3rd Gen. Console Vault did it for securing a side arm or other valuables.

Likely not a veteran, otherwise would probably know that "rattle" isn't that noise in the truck.

Nice weapon ... but, I would worry myself crazy that ... that much firepower could be stolen and used to do a do harm to me, LEO's or others.

I would think that if you are stopped for a routine traffic stop in most places ... there would be a lot of questions too and you might be there for a while.

Cool setup with the security net and all though.
