More thoughts later and review after a few months but so far easy install, super stout, lightweight, mounts for other accessories and removable. Great customer service, quick delivery and well packaged.

let me know what you think or if you have questions.

Relocated backup camera tonight without cutting anything. Just took it out of tailgate and ran back under truck and ran up by rear passenger light and mounted to license plate bracket on the rigd ultraswing. Worked perfectly.

Read through all the threads and was like wait a minute so when i got Home i took It all apart and rerouted it and bam works better then the original mount in tailgate. Rear tire carrier is within 1-2 inches of red line. Time for a beer.

@ragofabrication when you guys making a camera relocation bracket?

I’m wondering if that “ani-wobble” bolt or wedge plate will get worn down over time...

Great write up so far man! I still need long term review for me to pull the trigger on this

Thanks man glad to help. That was one of my concerns as well initially. I watched several of their videos and they look to abuse it at speed more than I usually travel. So far it has been good for the last month or so daily driving and a couple of FSR trips. It doesn't move once you grease it and tighten and then check after first few miles and retighten it has been solid. I don't see it moving enough to cause wear as it pretty well locked in their to the hitch. I will continue to come back and update as I test and evaluate.

Just got back from a 3 day trip in the GWNF and beat the shit out of this thing all weekend and it took it like a champ. Hit a ledge with it
At buddies Offroad park and it didn’t even flinch. We were flying through some trails testing out my new front shocks and my buddy behind me was very impressed as it didn’t move over some Huge whoops and drops. Again Over all very pleased with this product and the versatility it offers.

Hey, @ArmyGrnTaco & @ready6delta. I was wondering how both of you feel your Rigd is holding up from a coating/finish standpoint so far. Structurally, I think the thing is built like a tank. I got no issues and it hasn't moved a bit regardless of the terrain it has seen. That being said, I am starting to see all kinds of degradation in the black powder coating where it has not seen any kind of damage. It lives in garage most of the time and has only seen 5000 miles since it's been mounted to my truck. Have either of you seen anything similar happen with yours? I got rust coming through the coating on numerous welds and all those spots up & down the tire mounting beam which I haven't even used yet are rust coming through as well. I don't know if I am being nit picky or not, but I just feel like this is not a good sign of the coating being done properly nor should it be happening after 7 months of use.

I agree And have some Similar concerns as my bolts for the spare wheel have rusted, and small spots on welds and other areas show signs of rust when those areas haven’t had any scrapes or damage. I will Probably take it apart and thoroughly inspect and repaint this summer.

They need to do better prep work before coating it and I will Be writing them about it soon.

I have Abused mine pretty well and just drove across country through horrible road salt and winter conditions. I had to spray down the truck multiple times to get all The grime and salt off on top and underneath.

I have Had similar issues with most items i have Purchased even stuff i coated Myself. But a professional coating should be prepped and coated better to withstand any condition for at least a year or more.

it isn’t a deal breaker for me as i routinely bedline everything after it gets beat up but for the price you would Expect better.

Yeah, that's my only issue as well. The beating I give it is one thing, but this rust coming through the coating where it has not been compromised in anyway in 6 months time speaks to poor surface prep & I would imagine some of that process is probably outsourced. Bottom line, it was not a cheap item and the coating is definitely not up to par w/ the powder coating I have seen on other items I have purchased like my sliders and they are getting barraged with all kinds of debris. I like supporting these small companies with innovative products, but like anything, the quality has to be there as well. Long story short, I have already contacted them and they are standing behind it. They said they have recently updated their powder process and seeing much better results, so we will see how the replacement unit fairs in that regard.

I know this might not want to hear, but you could have it Line-X for better protection. That's what I am going to have done to my new bumper, even thought it comes powder coated from the bumper dealer. I just like to have that extra protection for an extra couple of hundred of dollars.

Dang so they are replacing it? Not bad. I understand we are the first to really use these and test them for longer then normal and lots of companies have issues with outsourcing powder coating But still that should have been remedied during initial RND. Let us know how it goes. At least they are standing behind it and not giving run around.

If I got it bare then that is an option i might Pay for but when it comes powder coated and you already pay for that process I’m not paying twice for crap coating. I will Just bedline it myself and prep it properly. Plus touch up is easy every summer. We will see if it continues to worsen before summer. If so i might Replace with a new one or go another route for my truck and stick it on wife runner.

Yeah, I should have it in a few weeks & will let you know. They went right to replacing it with no argument, so between that & their mention of the PC being better, I'd say they have seen this before. I have been in contact with them a few times for other reasons & I have to say they have always got right back to me so I guess I shouldn't be surprised in terms of service level. All he asked was that I take real care in packaging my current one back up to return it, which they are supplying (packaging) and I totally understand. It's a cumbersome bitch to package in the first place.

So if either of you decide to go that route b/c yours is rusting in places it shouldn't, I would recommend it. Got the replacement unit yesterday and it definitely has a way nicer/tougher finish on it. Looks much more the PC on my RCI sliders which so far has held up well. My wife even commented that it looked better as she helped me lift it out of the box & she knows nothing these matters normally:rofl:. Either way, figured I would let you know. Stay safe out there!
