I want the brightest legal fog lights. Rigids seem top notch. 2016-07-22_14.01.41.jpg 2016-07-22_14.02.33.jpg IMG_20160722_135153.jpg

Doesn't look like it does much fog lighting. The beam is higher than stock and it doesn't throw any light down low on the ground or to where the ditch would be in the photo. Seems pretty useless, throws light higher and less useful than stock and not near what headlights do. The stockers get the top of the curb, the floor behind it and all the wall until it cuts off, the rigid, diddly...

I didnt aim them yet but i see what you mean. They dont offer a spread out beam pattern that a reflector type fog light gives

You must not of ever had Rigids then. I've had this kit for about a month on the Tacoma and almost a year on my 4Runner and its absolutely night and day difference. At night you could probably run these without the headlights. Shining them up against the wall does not do them any justice to show the true light output.

How was the install? I was looking into these since I have an SR and never came with fogs.

Very easy since i used the starkey adaptors that plugged right into factory harness. So they come automatically with the headlight like factory fogs. Hardest part is probably aiming them cause im very anal about things like that

If anybody wants to use factory wiring you will need starkey H11 to deutsh adaptors. Then you will need to trim the adaptor to plug into the factory harness since the plastic clip is too wide.

what is the purpose of super bright fog lights for you? clearly you can see they do not do what a fog light is intended to do which is light up the ground directly in front of your vehicle that the headlights doesnt cover, so for actual fog lights, the oem seem far better. these look like a supplemental driving light which is what most people use fogs for anyways

Did you have to remove the bumper? Do they mount pretty easy? I haven't really taken a look at how the fog holes are set up. I'm not sure if I have the factory harness since my SR never came with fogs?

Just fog bulbs. But then again i only use them in... fog. Or snow. Im sure these rigid look cool, but why not do something with your headlights instead? Judging by the height of beam pattern vs how high they are mounted, you sure these arent blinding oncoming traffic?

My headlights are fine. I wanted good fogs to light up the ground and then get rigid spot/flood combo.

No removal of bumper just peeled back the inner fender lining. Everything is mounted by screws and i also used double sided 3m tape.

Did the kit also come with a switch, relay/all necessary stuff to install for those who can't use the factory harness?
