Yeah those are clearly fakes. I would return those you bought on eBay.

I bought some off Alibaba.com as well. They look great but they definitely not the real thing. Decently bright but not as much as the real thing.

God damn fakes, can't stand when the Chinese do this... I can remember having a both removed from a show because they ripped off our design.

Those light you have are fakes, first you can tell by the wire loom and hardware used. Second they don’t have the correct Toyota /Rigid stamp on the housing and the brackets

Yup knockoffs. That’s why they don’t work. The genuine Rigids plug right in and work. Nothing else is required. Sorry but eBay is not a great place to buy genuine OEM parts.

Because they are fakes. I’d like to see the cut off & light pattern comparison between your fakes & genuine Rigids. Bet not even close.

Report to ebay for selling counterfeit and get your money back. That's if the seller tried to pass it off as a legit item.

Actually they are pretty close. I bought a set on Alibaba a while back to compare with my OEM lights and they are darn close on light intensity and output. Wish I had a Lux meter to test it at the time. But if your looking for an aftermarket alternative to halogens then those fit the bill for some people.

A link to the original ebay listing would answer many questions.

I have the clone lights and they are every bit as bright as my friends pro rigid Industries. I have bought a few sets and only one light didn't work. It took a 10 second fix by reversing the plug connection. Mine don't contain moisture like the real ones that have issues. Yea mine are fake , zero issues, no moisture buildup, and for $100 they are damn nice. OP if you paid more than a $100 they go after a refund, look for a better light because even the real Rigids suck too.

I think there's something kinda fishy going on with this thread. If the ebay seller was "close by", why didn't you go back to him/her right from the outset?

Appreciate ur concerns but Fishi?? I don’t have to explain my personal preferences but since I’m being honest, I didn’t realize before bidding product seller was “close by” I don’t usually meet people to buy my things that’s my personal preference

You were asking questions about an item you bought online, an item that didn't work. It came out pretty quickly that the item was likely counterfeit, and that you bought it on ebay. I think the normal thing to do would be to post a link to the exact item you bought, whether it came from ebay or anywhere else. Then people know exactly what you have, and where it came from. At one point yesterday I specifically asked that you post the ebay link. Then today you say the seller was "close by". Sure anything is possible, but that's some coincidence. Not to mention that you just joined TW yesterday. Everybody has a different threshold for "fishy" I guess. And this thread reached my threshold.

since I’m new I’m not familiar with this website but yes coincidence does exist for some reason wether you like it or not. Regardless eBay link I don’t like to expose people since seller at that time haven’t reached me out, I thought we would work something out which we did so there was no need to get further with this matter. Regardless location Seller “ask me” to meet at that time I realize we we’re close so I agree to meet.
