Rigid Industries fog lights....Poor Quality?

Those look like knock-offs.

 

Damn my Amazon fogs look better than those. I’ll trade you. Paint looks new..

 

Think so? I’ll have look up where I bought them from. It came in the whole kit for the 2016 Tacoma so I’m pretty sure they are originals.

 

Maybe someone else with the same lights can post a picture for comparison.

Yes. The genuine articles (at least current model), has silver writing, and only on top. They are also more rounded. That’s what looked wrong to me. Are OPs an older version? I thought the SAE ones were a new product?

 

Mine still look new after 2 years, same with the rest of my rigid stuff.

 

So yours are two years old and have the Silver writing?

I have 2 sets of rigids pods, have had both the older white SAE fogs and currently have the new Amber SAE fogs. ALL of them had only RIGID written on top, in silver.

Also, Im 99% sure i dont have that black text on the lense.

 

Yeah I’m curious now, I’m pretty sure mine are just an older model from what I can tell. They came with all the rigid documentation as far as DOT approved ect. The funny thing is the powdered coated flat piece of the mounting bracket is fine but the lights are all beat to hell. I’d think it would be the opposite.

 

Fonts are different too.

 

The mounts are not powder coated on the new ones. How old are yours?

 

These were mine, bough them off another forum member who had them for a little while. Still look like this

Ok, so maybe they just switched the design. Maybe they improved the coating.

Joking aside, hope you figure it out. Looks like a knockoff since the font isn’t the same either on top unless this is a really really old one. Had them before and had the silver writing on top as well.

 

I dont think I’ve seen rigid lights without silver writing. All mine have it

 

The ones for sale on Amazon look like the OPs with the rigid on top and industries on the bottom.
