    I have these older style dot fogs, from 2014. I've almost always had them covered with the orange cover for rain /snow driving. No issues with paint chipping.

    Agreed, for every day use fogs these are nice. When I had them on a low vehicle I almost always had them on and it never bothered oncoming traffic
