For lighting up areas other than the areas of a fog light, you are saying that up top doesn't provide better illumination? I figured mounting low would be like a fog light, as to light up areas close to the ground on either side and in front. I was going to get led fogs for that, but wanted something with a little more coverage than just ground level.

 

You can stick the light bar behind the stock grill. Works great.

 

Yes sight line works better for distance mounted low.

 

where did you buy that grill craft for only $150 I see them going for $190 and up?

 

Can any other 20" SR light bar mount in that rigid grill? Just curious if anyone has tried it.

 

Possibly, havent tried it. I know a lot of dimensions are very close and with some fab work it shouldnt be an issue.

 

Chas, what do you recommend for bed lights?

Do you guys have a distribution kit like the SPOD? I have one ridged light now and I'd rather not end up with dift switches, etc.

For the simplicity and features included, I think so. You could build your own, but personally I would go the SPOD route. Painless has a nice kit out now but not sure how it holds up to offroad use.

I like the look of the Grill and light bar, but for $1200, no way. Led bar tech has come a long way and costs are coming down. I would consider it for half that amount!

 

Looking nice! However, I can't justify throwing that much money at something non-functional like that.

 

So I have a 2013 OR which doesn't have blanks that can be used. I watched the vid on the website that demonstrated getting the switches to the overhead console. I think I'm willing to do that. Any options on switches?

Still not sure how I get to 6 switched items. Even in my wildest dreams I don't end up with that many toys.

 

Chas where did you go? I was asking about switch options for the sPOD. I installed an Ultragauge this weekend and had to remove the driver's post cover. That was way easy; much easier than I thought it would be.

Anyway, I'd like to be able to label the switches or install some like OTRATTW. I've seen some messages on TW that sPOD does have other options that are not on their site. Just curious if you have the same. I guess I'd install a six switch panel in the front sunglasses holder.
