Hey Ben would you choose a 20" E series in spot or combo if you already had D2 driving beams up front? I think if I replaced my blitzpro it'd be a spot but I haven't seen the bigger spots in action so I'm not sure.

What I'd consider is this: How often am I on a long straight stretch of road where I'd need visibility out that far? You and I don't have that luxury up here too often so, in my mind, it makes more sense to go with a combo. That's just my .02 cents though.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.

my 30" is a combo, and part of the flood portion is negated by my bumper.. But the stock headlights and fog lights do a goo job up close.

I would probably go with the spot on a 20

now we need a poll for spot vs combo on the bars

Haha a poll wouldn't do anything but cause confusion in here. Everyone has a unique application for these. No one size fits all. I honestly think yours is only negated because its recessed behind the grill there. Ive seen a number of them that cut that insert out and they have full use of an E-series 30".

yea thats all the camera, if you use a wall etc like you would adjusting the headlights its actually pointed up a few degrees over my high beams..

I think the digital camera focused on the light spot, in real life the distance is what makes it sweet because it out ranges the headlights by a long long way.. I actually find myself turning it on on back roads now instead of hunting for street signs because with the rigid the street signs reflectors etc all shine like someone with a flashlight as far as you can see them.

up close its about the same intesity aas the headlights just a bright/hotter white/blue color vs the yellow.

Like i mentioned before the rigid shines out similar to a mag light, where the cheap brand flooded the area around more (which even if it was brighter makes it harder to see out far)

maybe this one will help more, yes i know my drivers headlight is lower than my passenger. I got tired of being flashed with my low beams on :)

    low beam & fog
    [IMG]

    high beam
    [IMG]

high beams and rigid (to show alignment, i would normally be low+fog+rigid)

truck was parked for all three so its the same vantage point.

If i had a white wall it would be easier to see :)

Tons of them. I'm planning on them putting them in my bed cage for bed lighting. Might do them in the RTT as well but I'll have to get the low power ones. Suckers are bright.

Just wondering. Have you heard of aurora lights?. Someone told me the company that does the rigid lights makes aurora. Actually I had a salesman pushing them on me so hard I didn't want them just on principle.

Aurora was sued by Rigid for patent violations. I don't know ALL that there is to know about business but I don't think a company can sue itself. Hahaha, Rigid holds THE patents to have when it comes to lighting technology. They're ruthless when it comes to business, but that's what it takes to be in the top 500 fastest growing companies in the US. With literally millions of companies starting every year, that's no small feat.

Good to hear. Sounded a little shady. Plus when it comes down to it, a few more bucks for warranty and rigid quality just seems worth it.

I'd highly recommend against ever emailing aurora about their lights. A buddy of mine did once asking about pricing and he has gotten emails from them nonstop for over a year now asking him If he's still interested in buying them.

That's what I'm saying. I guess I should clarify why I sell for rigid. I didn't set out to be a dealer, I was asked by a distributor to do this because of my belief in quality products. Since then I've become a dealer for several other companies but my rule is "If it isn't on my own vehicle, I have no interest in selling it." I carry Rigid because I believe wholeheartedly that no one competes with them.
I carry Airflow, CVT, Bruteforce Fab, and hopefully within the week 4x4 S-pod for the same reasons. They're each doing something far better than the competitors. Across the board it's customer service done better, product development, and downright quality that is superior of these companies. It's the only things I sell because it's the only things I want. Expeditioneers said it best I think with their model "We aren't in the cheap business, we're in the best business"
