Yup. But it'd help ease the burning sensation in your pockets to get it now. Save on shipping as well. Specially for us northern folks ;)

Wouldn't you only lose whatever was on the circuit with the relay, though.

I ran 6 conductor marine wire through my cab, and have individual circuits; all with their own individual relays. So, if the relay on my driving lights went out; I'd only lose the driving lights - since that's the only accessory on that relay circuit. Same goes for my compressor, HAM, etc. The Blue Seas panel only serves as a distribution panel to my relays - albeit it's a fused distribution panel. That's just how I wired my truck - it's much easier and safer than wiring lights/radio on a single circuit/relay. That's just stupid. In that case, I could see how if you lost a relay you'd lose all of your accessories..

Just trying to clarify a little bit.

But, yes - that's a pretty cool product!

That's pretty funny.. I was watching this video and instantly though "Wow, that's gotta be PNW fog!"

Northridge 4x4 is about an hour away from me!

Glad to see you doing well, Ben!

Most people in my experience do it in the manner you are suggesting. Individual relays on each of the switches including a fuse.

That is what this is designed to do. Takes all your relays and fuses for 6 items and puts them in a box / fuse panel. Then using a cable from the box to the switches.

Most people when doing the installs and utilizing relays in addition to the Blue sea fuse box, just show the blue sea box and not the relays. I was working on a guys truck that had relays all over the place. couple her and there. a mess. But it worked.

This system is more to organize the gear in to one place.

TLDR, you are right . Most people do it your way. It is meant to clean up the mess.

Where do you put your relays? How many switches do you have also?

All of my relays are mounted on inside of the main vehicle fuse panel, via a watertight wiring through-bulkhead fitting..

I've got 5 dedicated circuits, 4 switches (Driving lights, fogs, ARB Comp. and Locker and my 2 Meter Radio.

I'd be interested if they made one for first gens. But I have no clue where the hell it would go in the cab, space is very limited.

Ah, I thought there were two parts. One with the fuses and relays in the engine bay and one wire going through the cab to a switch panel made by them.

Nice. I was hoping * fingers crossed everything works out on this deal, to have mine like this.

    1. switch for the 2 6" real lights
    2. switch for the right side 20"
    3. switch for the left side 20" (I could consolidate these two switches using single multi position switch SPDT or similar. That would be 3 clicks - up on, middle off, down on)
    4. switch for the front 40"
    5. switch override for these 4/or 3 so all lights are on.
    6. switch for air compressors
    7. switch for lockers
    8. switch for CB/ Radio
    9. switch for 2200w power inverter
10.switch for the dual battery system

They made the 2 piece for the Jeeps and other vehicles that do not have spare switch bays in the cab. Look at the price points. ours is around 300 for a tacoma. all the others are over 100 more. thats the reason.

Ok yeah I see the FJ has that setup. Doesn't look like they make one specifically for first gens, but I don't see why the 2nd gen one wouldn't work.

I see it has a 50 amp circuit breaker on it as well. So this thing can only handle 50 continuous amps? Seems a bit low if that's the case. Fine for me as I only have LED lights anyway.

They include a bracket if I remember correctly. it is just a universal fuse block for all intensive purposes, with the addition of wiring for fuses already included. They even let you pick the switches. So if you can fab bracket or find a place to mount it, it will work in ANY vehicle!

As long as there is a POSITIVE and NEGATIVE hookup, it will work. Hell, zip tie it! :spy:
