Has anyone ever mounted these as ditch lights instead of the 3x3” pods for a lower profile look? Dumb idea?

This is what I wanted to do but I got DSS PROs instead. But I have seen a lot of Baja Design S2 ditch lights if you want a general idea of what to expect of the low profile look. My opinion is go for it!
