New to the forum, long time lurker, just purchased my 17 TRD Sport 4x4 DCLB a couple weeks ago, had an 07 TRD Sport Prerunner prior that served me well for the last 10 years.

The Rigid D-Series Tacoma fog mount kit is less expensive that the trd pro rigid fogs and appear like they may throw out more light with the bigger fixture, looks clean to me as well. What are most people's thoughts on the two options? Does the d-series mounts available from rigid require any drilling or modification to the bumper/trim? Leaning towards the d-series option but wanting to hear other opinions.

I'd get the D series. Too many people are running the pro LEDs. Plus, the only thing that makes a pro a pro is a grill, these lights, and some suspension.

No may about it, You'll get way more
light with the d series kit vs pro kit. If I were you I'd wait until Apex Fabworks finishes their fog kit. Will be much cheaper running Caliraised pods.

I installed the Rigid kit. Much brighter than the TRD Pro (more light output).
You do have to drill 4 small holes to secure the outer plate.
    Instructions attached.

Awesome, looks like the holes would be hidden behind the stock fog trim if it ever were to be put back.

i have the Pro and i'm not a fan of the Ridgid fogs so much. they are really bluish and somewhat dim, but effective nonetheless. if i was looking for a foglight solution i'd look at another.

by the way, Ridgid has a 'd' in it. i think i'm the only person on the internet who spelled it right lol

I guess that's how you justify your purchase.

I ended up ordering the Baja Designs Squadron Sport Fogs in White Wide/Driving combo with their fog pocket mount kit. I went back and forth quite a bit over a few days, had to pull the trigger on one and went with the BDs, I like that they are a little more subtle and fit with the OEM shroud/trim. Super bright, not sure on the effectiveness as a fog light, don't get a ton of fog where I live, however it does spread decently and is almost the equivalent of throwing on the high beams.

Ordered from Bailey @Baja Designs, quick turnaround and he gave me the TW discount

I'm very happy with my stock rigid fog lights on my '17 pro. We just installed morimoto XB's on the '13, and I'm very happy with them. Don't order anything from cali raised led unless you are not in any hurry whatsoever! I'm going on 3 weeks after payment for my led bar I ordered from them for the '13.

The other comparison I would like to see is the TRD Pro LED fogs against the Lexus F Sport LED fogs that some members on here have run. They're the same OEM quality, look like stock (largely) and are $200 cheaper than the Pro lamps.
