I am currently running stock 16” rims on my Tacoma. Can anyone tell if want to run 20” rims what would be the offset for a 20” rim? I just don’t wanna order the wrong thing any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

So a +24mm offset would not work correct?

I would strongly advise against wheels that large. The tire sidewall is tiny at that size, which increases the risk of blowout and decreases ride comfort. I wouldn't go any larger than 18" on a Tacoma.

Going from a +25 to a +24 offset is fine. It just means your outside face of wheel will be 1 mm farther out. Barely noticeable.

Your bigger issue will be finding the right tire size for your 20” wheel. 20” is not very typical for this truck.

rim size and offset are not related at all, and choosing one will not affect the range of choices for the other.

That being said, given that you are staying at stock tire size, which on a 20" would be 265/50/R20

You can safely pick any wheel offset in the range of -6 to + 30 without ANY rubbing or scrubbing

-10 is acceptable but might rub fenders.

As for sidewall protection, just remember even at 20", you have almost double the sidewall than the avg cars and crossovers. If they can manage, you should have no problem on pavement.

    I ran a 20 x 9 with 33” tires. +01mm offset. 4” lift. Looked great. Ran great.

17" has the widest variety of tires and at the best prices. The Sport and Pro run 17s by default.

18" looks like a street truck. The limited runs 18s by default.

20" is out of fashion. Rubber band tires will send every pothole directly up your spine, and they just aren't cool anymore.

    20s are rimz
OP do you plan to actually off road this truck? If you want to street cruise and dodge potholes, 20s will work fine, but if you want to off road, I’d look to 16-17”

Only partially true. You can get the same amount of sidewall as the stock 16/17” wheels with a 20” wheel and a 33” tire.

Lol. So much wrong info / misperception in this thread. People talking about things they know nothing about. Not worth correcting. It comes down to preference. You like 16s? You like 20s? Find a tire with the specs you need for the tasks you prefer. 33s on 20s with a high ply can Off road all day and ride as smooth as a 16”’ wheel with street tires. El bozos around here.

... The hell is the point of running 33s on a 20 wheel? That's an appearance only application, you're literally handicapping your ability to increase your contact patch when airing down.

And yes, act like I don't know what I'm talking about, but there's a reason why I say 20s ride like shit. I used to run them.
