Rim width to tire size ?

    Hello my beautiful community,
    Can 6.5” inch rim width fit tire size of 265/75/16? I currently have 245/75/16 on it . I believe that’s the max allowed but idk what are your thoughts ? I want to upgrade to 265/75/16
    Edit my rims are 5 lug.

    Only 6.5 inch width? Is it a 5-lug?

    Seems a little narrow to me but I could be wrong. 265/75 is more of a 6 lug size, and those rims are around 8 inches wide

The other tire size listed on the door sticker for 4wd Tacoma of our era is 265-70R16, slightly larger diameter than our 245-75R16s. 20mm larger tread width with a 75% profile sounds like more wiggle or wobble, but only your tire guys know for sure... I'm sticking with stock on Gen3 Off Road wheels (take offs from a tire shop, same size as the stock steel Gen2).
