So I bought PROCOMP 7105-7883 rims a couple months back from a company that stated they would be shipped early October (passed).

Fast forward a month, I give them a call and now they expect to have them by the end of November! WTF.... I called everyone else I can think of and no-one has any. On top of it this company still has my money (I guess its a free loan).

    /end rant

Well to be fair pro-comp is probably jerking them around, because procomp is owned by 4wp :p

I would believe 4 wheel parts since they own procomp like it was said earlier. Race Mart just hasn't asked for a recent update

Getting both from other members with their connections. I was going through 4wheelparts.com for the procomps via another members discount here and going through another member who is importing the konigs in the buy/sell forum

Wheel retailers only allocate a certain number of wheels to keep in stock... If the manufacturer makes 1,000 sets of a wheel and 500 companies each order 20 sets, when each store sells out, they put in a re-order, but by that time the manufacturer is working on casting other wheels in their rotation...

In some cases, if a store calls the manufacturer for a set, the store has the option to have a set allocated from another region which may have it in stock, but at a higher price...

In that case the store either cuts into their profit margin or charges the customer the additional cost... They can't charge extra once they complete the transaction with the customer, and they sure as he'll won't cut into their profit margin to hunt down the set...

That's typically why one place is back ordered while another has them in stock...

Haha I have the same issue except with my caps for my wheels!?! Ordered both on the same day, got my wheels in two days, and have been waiting over a month for the caps... Doesn't make sense....

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I read on this forum that Pro-Comp lost its manufacturer in China (for what reason, I don't know). They found another company to produce the wheels for them, but I imagine it takes a while to get a new program up an running, which would be the reason for the delay.

Look into Eagle Alloy wheels. We sell them at Engage and they typically have them in stock for us.

Also America's Tire has Unique and Allied Wheel Company. Both make a lot of styles based on the bigger wheel company collections.

Dont know if what is going on with me is affecting all the procomp orders but I got a set of rockcrawlers for my 04 tacoma, after they were installed I dicovered they are warped. Called Wheelers, they dumped me on procomp. Apparently they keep having bad batches made??? Dont really know but every week for the past month the are "sending" me a new set of rims, then some new issue (most recent powder coating) has come up and they dont send them. I would never reccomend pro comp to anyone after this.
